Kids at the Children Center have some fun while reading with a cartoonist

Hattiesburg, Miss. - USM’s Children's Center for Communication and Development had some fun on Tuesday.

The Center invited author and syndicated editorial cartoonist, Marshall Ramsey to read to kids.

Director of Children’s Center, Sarah Case-Price said, "To have a visitor come in and to give our children another opportunity to use the language that they've been learning, to practice those skills that we've been working on this group he's been with...and for a child with language disorders, sometimes it's difficult to use that language. So this was a great experience. Mr. Ramsey interacted beautifully with our children. They've been practicing the story, so it's somewhat familiar to them, but to have that opportunity was just wonderful and I'm a little bit star-struck myself."
