Non profit organization guiding youth to good decision making

HATTIESBURG, Miss - A local non profit organzation is presenting their first annual summit on Saturday to discuss the importance of abstinence, good decision making, and entrepreneurship.

Founder Tulisa Manaway says, "It is very important for people here in Hattiesburg because often times Hattiesburg gets a bad rep about teenagers making bad choices and it is important to let people know that there are good things going on in our community for our youth and that we do offer more things than sports and dance. We try to feed the youth's mind, body, and spirit as well."

The mission of D.I.V.A.S is to teach young girls how to maintain self esteem. Their goal is to give the girls a safe place to express their feelings and opinions without being judged.
