Animal Cruelty Prevention Month

Ellisville, Miss. - The City of Ellisville and the City of Laurel teamed up Monday to sign the second annual proclamation for Southern Cross Animal Rescue.

Heather Willims said, "It's important for a lot of reasons, but we love to see city representatives so supportive of what we do. They agree with us on how important this initiative is. And it brings the city involvement in with the orange. The color orange represents that you support the cause."

Willims said the orange ribbons are for sale.

Proceeds will help out SCAR and help save more animals.
