Diesel spill near Turtle Creek Mall

Hattiesburg, Miss. - Roads near Turtle Creek mall were a little dirty on Wednesday.

Chip Brown, Forrest County Emergency Management employee said an 18-wheeler spilled less than 50 gallons of diesel around noon at the intersection of Hardy Street and Weathersby Road.

The City of Hattiesburg contacted the Complete Environmental and Remediation Company and it used micro blaze to clean up the diesel.

Brown said diesel spills can be a little harmful and can make the roads a bit slippery.
