Perry Co. man avoids gun charge

PERRY COUNTY, Miss. - A Perry County man now has one charge against him dropped.

Perry County sheriff, Mitch Nobles said after a two-day trial, jurors ruled that Bryon Armstrong, 26, is not guilty for possessing a weapon as a felon.

Armstrong is still facing a murder charge for the death of James Hartfield, 52, from September 2014.
