Two arrested in Jones county stand off

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - Sunday evening Jones County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a domestic assault.

Daniel H. Hodge was reported assaulting his father, then barricaded himself in his residence along with Megan D. Fuentes and a young child.

Jones County Sheriff’s SWAT was called on the scene. After several hours of negotiation, Hodge and Fuentes were apprehended. No one was injured.

Hodge was charged with Domestic Violence and Felony Child Endangerment, Fuentes was charged with Aggravated Assault and Felony Child Endangerment. Additional charges are pending. The initial appearances of Hodge and Fuentes have yet to be scheduled.

This case is still under investigation, further information will be released at a later time.
