Jones county man charged with child molestation

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - This is a press release from the Jones county Sheriff's department.

At the end of June 2016, Jones County Sheriff’s Investigators were alerted to inappropriate behavior involving a young school aged juvenile with an adult male family member. The mother of the victim reported an incident of her child being touched by a family member after the child had told her about it.

The victim underwent a forensic interview, at which time she was able to disclose the improper actions and named Michael Graham, 54 of Laurel, as the perpetrator.

A warrant was issued for Graham’s arrest. He was taken into custody on Sunday, July 10, 2016 and charged with Molestation. During an investigative interview, Graham admitted to touching the child.

Graham's bond was set at $25,000.00
