Petal, Veteran's Affair

PETAL, Miss. - The City of Petal is inviting Pine Belt veterans to the Civic Center Wednesday for the Veteran’s Affair.

This will be a chance for veterans to ask questions and receive some helpful tips.

Veteran, T.J. Gordon said, "All the resources that will be available, if you got claims pending and they've been pending over six months, that would be one of the things. If you need to file a new claim, that would be another thing. And some of the other things in details, some personal thing that you might want to ask about pay.”

“And also on the healthcare side, there will be staff from there (Veterans Affairs) to be checking out veterans for physicals and everything out of the hospital side of it," said Gordon.

The event is from 9-2 p.m. at the Petal Civic Center.
