Mayor DuPree celebrates Ghana Native's book
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Mayor DuPree celebrated Ghana native, Tony Taylor's book "Coming to America: Why Mississippi?" Thursday at city hall.
Taylor arrived in New York city in December 2000 with the mission of achieving the American Dream.
His path to success led him to Hattiesburg where he is currently the CEO of Hattiesburg Transportation Taxi.
Taylor said, "It makes me so happy when they (people) get into my taxi business."
In his book, Mr. Taylor shares the details of his journey while highlighting his culture and the people within the Hattiesburg community who inspired him along the way.
"I am proud and so happy being part of the people living in Hattiesburg" Taylor said.
