Laurel native wins Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway

PINE BELT, Miss. - One Laurel native shined under the bright lights over the weekend and won some money.

Hattiesburg High alum and current Ole Miss student, Jarrius Adams, 19, won the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway challenge.

Adams earned $100,000 in tuition money.

Adams is majoring in Public Policy Leadership and Political Science.

He wants to make a difference that will benefit people all over the country. Adams wants to improve the education system and voter registration, so everyone can benefit from it.

In the last eight years, Dr. Pepper awarded $8 million in tuition money to students across the country to help them achieve their goals.
