Shoplifter assaults officers

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - One man was arrested Wednesday at the Walmart located on Highway 98.

Police said Joe Gesse was shoplifting at Walmart.

When police arrived, Gesse assaulted officers and ran away. Officers eventually found him and arrested him.

Gesse will be facing several charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
