Jones Co. Republican Women discuss pregnancy choices

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - The Jones County Republican Women organization discussed an important topic Wednesday at the Gables in Laurel.

The topic touched on defending the unborn in Mississippi. Women wore pink and blue to support Choices Clinic in Laurel.

Mayor Johnny Magee and Ellisville Mayoral Candidate Danny Shows attended as guest speakers.

Mayor Magee said this is a topic that affects both men and women.

“It’s important to have the conversation and topic with the people because people need to be aware that there are choices. You know the name is choices" said Magee.

Shows said its wrong to have the amount of abortions in this country. "It is always a pleasure to be with the Republican women from Jones county, they are again, a very strong group and they push a lot of support.”

The next luncheon will be in May.
