Merit Health Wesley celebrates its new Veterans Affairs Clinic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Merit Health Wesley held a ribbon cutting Wednesday to help celebrate its new Veterans Affairs Clinic.

Merit Health Wesley currently serves 5,000 veterans. But, the new clinic now has more space to care for 5,000 more veterans per year.

Medical director, Dr. Stephen Beam said, "Any kind of primary care problem that would include: diabetes, high blood pressure, lung problems, we can serve you here at this clinic. You'll be assigned to a provider that you'll get to know very well. That provider has a nurse and a clerk that will take a lot of interest in your life and in your medical history."
