Academy Sports provides shopping spree for 30 kids

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The YMCA and Academy Sports and Outdoors partner together to give back to the community Thursday.

As their annual school give away, 30 children with priceless faces walked into Academy to receive a special $100 gift card for back to school shopping.

Carl Helton, Assistant Manager, said it's a good feeling to see the kids prepare for the school year "I mean they got smiles on their faces, it’s nothing like getting a new pair of shoes or a new backpack for the school year, you want be the in kid so that helps them out a whole lot,"

This was one of many shopping sprees that took place across the country.
