Dog Days 5k and 2 mile walk hoping to raise $20k

HATTIESBURG, MS. - The 3rd annual Dog Days 5k and 2 mile walk will take place Saturday at Kamper Park.

Racers and their furry best friends still have time to join and raise money for service dogs in the Pine Belt.

All proceeds will go towards Hub-City service dogs. Last year the event raised $15,000.

According to Race Director Angels Davis-Morris organizers hope to raise $20,000 this year. "Well for the dogs of the Pine Belt it is going to be a happy day."

She says, "What we are doing is that we are fundraising for Hub-City service dogs where we actually help train and select dogs for people with medical needs and we help save lives.”

So far the event has over 290 racers. For more information you can click here.
