Mayor Barker Speaks to Young Professionals

The buy monthly "Blue Plate" lunch took place today for the Pine Belt Young Professionals organization. Each event features a different guest speaker and today Hattiesburg mayor, Toby Barker made an appearance.

Barker spoke to the young professionals about the opportunities the town has for young people.

"Today we want to go over what's going on in the city right now. What things they can expect going forward and we also want to challenge them to be part of that," Mayor, Barker said. "Hattiesburg has such potential and our young professionals and students really play a big role in that.... Hattiesburg needs to become a city where we not only train young professionals up but keep them here."
