South Jones High School Student Dies in a Car Accident

HATTIESBURG, MISS. – A fatal car crash claimed the life of a South Jones High School senior Monday night. Natalie Suggs died after a car accident that happened at the intersection of Highway 590 and Hill Drive. The Superintendent of Jones County Schools, Tommy Parker says the district is grieving the loss of a great student. “Sometimes in these tragedies, it's pretty difficult to talk,” Parker said. “I don't know if there are words that can express the feelings you have when a young person loses their life tragically… just sitting wondering what their life could have become, and what their future would have held and what were their plans? Also, it multiplies the hurt because of the time and season it is right now… a time when everyone gathers together as families.” Grief counselors will be at the school ready to help any students that need help during this time.
