Hattiesburg police station re-opens substation in Pinebelt

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department and the City of Hattiesburg held a ribbon cutting Thursday for the Lamar Boulevard Substation.

This station is located on 104 Lamar Boulevard off Highway 98 West. The facility will be used by both the Hattiesburg Police and the Hattiesburg Fire Department in efforts to make it easier for residents.

The re-opened facility will meet the needs of the general public by responding to requests for records, state officials, or state federal officers.

Citizens of Hattiesburg can now file and retrieve misdemeanor accident and incident reports. Hattiesburg police will also be able to log tickets and incidents at the re-opened location.

The substation will be open to the public Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and equipped with a full-time city employee.
