Southeastern Baptist College relaunches their Athletic Program

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - Southeastern Baptist College announced a major change Thursday morning during a press conference. School officials announced their plans to hoop-it-up, announcing the school will bring back its athletic program, starting with their new basketball team (The Southeastern Baptist Chargers). “We’re very excited about getting this team restarted, and bringing our new coach onboard Brad Phillips who’s a tremendous recruiter,” President of the Southeastern Baptist College, Dr. Scott Carson said. “I love the recruiting part,” Southeastern Baptist College’s head basketball coach, Brad Phillips said. “I love getting out and meeting the kids and getting them excited about Southeastern Baptist College. A lot of the student-athletes didn’t know much about the college, so it’s bringing recognition to the college.” The Chargers first game will be November 2 in Jacksonville, Florida at the Trinity Baptist Classic. The school also mention they are in the works of bringing more athletic programs to the school.
