Pearl River Valley EPA Prepares for COVID-19

(The following is a press release from Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association.)

Columbia, MS- After careful consideration for both our member’s and our employee’s safety, Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association has decided to close its lobbies in its offices in Columbia, Wiggins, Hattiesburg and Purvis. Members can still conduct their usual business, through our drive-throughs.

“Our member’s and our employee’s safety are our top priority”, said Pearl River Valley Electric general manager, Randy Wallace. “We want to make sure that physical interaction is kept to a minimum, until the danger of the virus has passed.”

Pearl River Valley Electric also encourages members to utilize alternate methods for paying their bills. Members can still use drive-throughs and night depositories. In addition, for members who are self-quarantining or wish to avoid contact with others, we recommend paying bills online at our website www.PRVEPA.com, calling our automated number at 855-2-PRVEPA (277-8372) or by signing up for our PRVEPA app. You can download the app by searching for PRVEPA in your app store. It works on Apple and Android devices. The app is free, convenient and easy to use.

In addition, Pearl River Valley Electric has elected to suspend disconnects for non-payment of services until further notice.

Pearl River Valley Electric is also taking extra measures in our offices to prevent the spread of the illness. We are aggressively sanitizing work areas and providing employees with protective equipment and hand sanitizer.
