After Sunday night's severe weather, Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association is restoring power to, as of this writing, more than 8000 members. "This number is likely to rise however, as we work to assess damage," PRVEPA said in a statement.

Crews will work until 11:59 p.m. tonight and will resume at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Update as of 11:45 a.m.:

Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association tells FOX23 the utility has 3230 members without power. "Early estimates show around 150 broken poles throughout our service territory," the EPA said in a statement.

PRVEPA adds contract crews are assisting in the efforts to restore power. PRVEPA submitted the following photos from Sandy Hook, the Hurricane Creek area and Joe Magee Road.
