Laurel Veterans Memorial Museum to hold virtual Veterans Day program

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Laurel-based Veterans Memorial Museum will present a virtual Veterans Day program on November 11th at 10 a.m. on www.facebook.com/LaurelVetsMuseum -- its official Facebook page. The keynote speaker for the program is Rev. Greg Spencer, pastor of First Baptist Church of Ellisville.

“This has been a difficult year since we were forced to close our doors AND cancel our annual Memorial Day Ceremony. We had hoped that by Veterans Day, that we would be able to again meet in person, but the risk to our guests and volunteers is just too great to take this chance. We hope that by next spring, we can again schedule live ceremonies at the museum,” Lt. Col. Larry Callahan, museum president, said in a statement to FOX23.
