Jones county sheriff's dept searching for man facing assault charges


JONES COUNTY, Miss. - This is a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

Jones County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding a man to answer to serious charges. Jerome Justin Boe, 40 of Moselle. He is approximately 5.9’ and 140 pounds. An arrest warrant has been issued for Aggravated Assault – Domestic Violence and Possession of Cocaine.

On April 2, 2016, a woman called the Sheriff’s Department stating she had been beaten up by Boe, who was her boyfriend, and he is the father of her infant. The victim reported the abuse had begun the day before when she took the baby to Boe’s residence. Shortly after arriving, arguing started and quickly became physical and violent. She reported he hit her, kicked her and held a knife to her throat threatening to kill her.

The victim said the abuse continued for 24 hours, when someone came to the home, realized what was happening, and threatened to call the Sheriff’s Department. Boe left the scene.

He was last seen driving a black Chevrolet truck with the Jones County tag, “JHOG”. He is believed to be in Lamar County, where he could be facing additional charges.
