USM alumni presents check to The Children’s Center at Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A local Southern Miss alumni, Kevin Harrison presented a $1,750 check to The Children's Center Thursday afternoon.

A portion of the sales collected at Harrison's Vision Center in July will help support the kids' developmental skills.

Center Director Sarah Case-Price said, "It feels amazing to have the support we have from the community."

She added, "To know that we have made an impact on one USM alumni who was looking for somewhere to donate, to know that we captured his heart."

Harrison said, "To get these children early enough to make a difference in their lives before they even get to school, just to watch the light bulb moments."

"It just warms your heart and you just know that it is all for a very good cause" said Harrison.

Harrison's Vision Center has been donating to The Children's Center for the past 12 years.
