SPD officer talks to students about education

SEMINARY, Miss. - A highly decorated and respected Seminary Police Officer talked to Seminary Elementary students Thursday about the importance of education.

Corporal Marc Doss is a sergeant with the Mississippi National Guard and served in the 155th Infantry Battalion Company B in Poplarville.

He is an alumni of Seminary Elementary and wants to ensure students stay on track at school.

"Education is very important especially now a days, you know we see everyday, what not being educated looks like, and we want our kids here in Seminary to grow up and be successful in life" Corporal Doss said.

Corporal Doss said he hopes talking and mentoring the kids will encourage students to continue their education after high school.
