Petal nationally ranks as one of the best places to purchase a new home

PETAL, Miss. - Gobankingrates.com named Petal to be one of the best places in the country to purchase a new home.

Mayor of Petal, Hal Marx said, "This is another list that we've been a part of over the last several years. Its ranked Petal as one of the best places to live and raise a family in Mississippi. And of course, we agree with that and we're proud of that recognition. And I think it's another feather in our cap as far as the city goes."

Petal ranked 22nd best.
