Gospel concert to benefit retired Jones county deputy
JONES COUNTY, Miss. - The Jones County Sheriff's Department is presenting a gospel concert that benefits Lieutenant (Lt.) Tony Stiles who was critically wounded during a hostage rescue attempt in Jones County in 2012.
The concert will be held at First Baptist Church in Laurel Thursday at 6 p.m.
The admission is free, but donations are welcome. Deputies said Lt. Stiles continues to suffer greatly from the six gun shot wounds he received in action.
Officials said because of Lt. Stiles injuries he had to medically retire from the department, which he dearly loves.
