United Way of South East Mississippi selling $100K Payday raffle


HATTIESBURG, Miss. - This is a press release from the United Way Southeast Mississippi.

January 16, 2017, will mark the kick-off of ticket sales for United Way’s $100K Payday raffle. The United Way of Southeast Mississippi will start selling $100 raffle tickets for a chance to win $100,000 (pre-taxes). The community can begin purchasing tickets on January 16, 2017.

Tickets can be purchased online, in-person at the United Way office located at 210 West Front St. Suite 400, local area banks and grocery stores and by mailing in a brochure. Brochures will be mailed to the community and available at local businesses once tickets are being sold. Tickets will be sold on January 16, 2017, until March 12, 2017. Drawing for the grand winner will take place at Chesterfield’s on March 20, 2017, at 6 p.m. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win. The community is invited to attend the drawing along with United Way staff, volunteers and service partner members. On the evening of the drawing, Chesterfield’s will donate 10% of food sales to United Way of Southeast Mississippi. How to purchase a ticket: Tickets can be purchased online using a credit card until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 12. Mailed in order forms and money must be postmarked by Friday, March 10. The community can purchase tickets in person at the following locations until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 10.
