This year's Festival South Film Expo sets a record with local films

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Festival South announced Monday it will have 14 films in its film expo this year.

13 of those films were all shot in Mississippi.

Executive director, Miles Doleac said, "The primary mission of Festival South Film Expo is to provide a platform to showcase Mississippi filmmakers, films with ties to Mississippi. We have more Mississippi-made, Mississippi-based films in the festival this year than ever before. I'm incredibly proud of that. I'm incredibly proud of the fact that we're here showcasing, celebrating local filmmakers."

The Festival South Film Expo begins June 4 at the Grand Theatre.
