Women help build a home for a local family
PETAL, Miss. - Habitat for Humanity had its Women's Build Saturday as a part of National Women Build Week.
Over a dozen volunteers helped build a new home in Petal for a local family.
Jamie Russell, Habitat for Humanity family selection said, "It's great to see women come out and help other women be able to build a home and not just decorate it. It gives them a sense of purpose and a sense of independence. We built tees, corners, and headers that go over the windows and for over the doors. We built the exterior walls and stood the walls."
