Local blood drive helps retired fire chief's battle with cancer

LAUREL, Miss. - A blood drive happened Monday at the Laurel Fire Station right next to the Laurel Police Department.

This blood drive was implemented to help retired Laurel Fire Chief, Greg King with his fight with cancer.

Fire Chief, James Brown said, "Chief King was a very likeable person. He was a very good firefighter, and everybody loved him. He was a well-loveable person on the job. We're just throwing our support behind him and do what we can to help him during his time of illness."

The blood drive was from 9-3 p.m.
