Jones Co. Deputies searching for armed robbery suspect

JONES COUNTY, MS. - The following is a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

On July 20, 2017 at around 9:30pm, Dollar General on Highway 84 East (Eastview) was robbed at gunpoint. Jones County Sheriff’s Investigators are diligently working this case for clues and seeking information to the identity of the armed robber as well as the driver in the getaway vehicle.

No information on the vehicle has been made available. Store cameras and witness descriptions report the armed robber was an African-American male, wearing a hoodie, walked in the store brandishing a gun and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
