Jones County man charged with domestic violence

JONES COUNTY, MS. - The following is a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

On July 29, 2017 Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute between Terrance O. Walker, 32 of Laurel, and his wife. The victim reported she had walked into the bedroom when Walker threw a glass mason jar at her.

The jar struck the wall next to her and shattered – pieces causing lacerations to her stomach. Walker left the scene before deputies arrived.

On September 10, 2017 the victim was at her residence, from which Walker had previously moved. Walker came to the victim’s home and said he was looking for a shirt.

Once Walker was inside, he pushed the victim and caused her to fall backwards into a nightstand. Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies took Walker into custody on September 18, 2017 and charged him with Felony Domestic Violence.

On September 19, 2017 Judge Howell Beech set his bond at $5,000.
