Marion Co. Investigators report domestic related shooting

MARION COUNTY, Miss. - Investigators with the Marion County Sheriff's Office reported a domestic related shooting that involves two county residents Tuesday.

Friday October 6, at 7 Water Valley Road in the Foxworth community, 30 year old Tamaneka Murree Alexander died Friday as a result of her gun shot wound injuries.

Investigators have reason to believe 40 year old Handy Anthony Willis, Jr., shot Alexander in a domestic related incident.

Willis is charged with murder. However, due to his hospitalization, Marion County investigators are currently awaiting the status of his recovery before setting a bond.
