William Carey host International Food Fair

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - William Carey hosted their annual international food fair Thursday at the student conference center.

“Some of the international students may not know many people right now. So it’s a good way to start some friendships with some students here,” said Assistant Director of William Carey BSU, Landon Adams.

International and domestic students came together to create an unique experience of food tasting and exchange. Officials say it's a good initiative for foreign students to feel comfortable and learn more about other cultures.

"So it’s really nice that we can share what we love to them, and most of the international students, we love food. We love to eat and cook. So, it’s a way to express love and show how thankful we are for everything they have been doing for us,” said International Student, David Faria.

Hundreds of students from thirty different countries are enrolled at William Carey and this is the tenth year the school has celebrated the multicultural event.
