USM students visits cafeteria for Thanksgiving meal

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Domestic and International students found their way to holiday food at Southern Miss' Fresh Food Company Thursday on Thanksgiving.

The school's cafeteria is open from 9am until 6pm serving those who can not make it home for the holiday.

One graduate students from Utah said she had a choice to go home between Christmas and Thanksgiving, “I’m going home for Christmas, but I could only afford like one ticket home So I chose to go for Christmas because that’s like a more meaningful holiday. It’s been good anyway, my family has already called me and they’re super sweet,” said the Out-of-State Student.

The University's Cafeteria staff encourages students to use the doors by the stadium, even though the sign reads "exit" and for "football players only"
