Forrest General Hospital and Extra Table announce art show winners

HATTIESBURG, MISS - Forrest General Hospital and Extra Table announced the winners of their art competition titled "Home Is Where The Heart Is For The Holidays." Students from Forrest and Lamar County schools and youth organizations decorated Christmas cards based on the holiday theme for a cash prize. These homemade cards will be provided as a gift those who donate to Extra Table for this holiday season. "So we are here to celebrate the winners of our 'Home Is Where The Heart Is For The Holidays' competition that Extra Table does in partnership with Forrest General. So, we got students, parents, teachers, and art teachers from schools all across the Pine Belt," Extra Table's program coordinator, Stacy Ahua said. "We will be revealing who are winners are and celebrating these students for being a part of this competition. Helping us raise money to help feed the hungry during the holidays." This holidays season Extra Table will be working to distribute food to more than 20 soup kitchens, and help feed more than 670,000 hungry Mississippians.
