Mississippi Development Authority's Executive Director speaks about State's Economy

COLLINS, MISS. - State officials met with a local rotary club at Morgan’s on Main Restaurant in Collins, MS on April 9 to discuss the Mississippi State Economy.

State Senator Joe Filligane and Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. say the State Economy is on the rise.

“More Mississippians are working today than ever before in our state’s history,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Glenn McCullough Jr. said. “Unemployment at 4.5 percent is the lowest its has been since the U.S. department of Labor started keeping state wide employment statistics.”

McCullough gives credit to the state’s workforce, training, and local colleges for preparing people for a successful career.
