HPD investigates bank robbery

On Monday, July 23, Hattiesburg Police responded to a bank robbery at 5308 Old Highway 42, Great Southern Bank around 3:45 p.m.

A black male, possibly early 20s, blue shirt, gray sweatpants, roughly 5 foot 6 inches, and roughly 140 lbs went into the bank and displayed a weapon and demanded money.

He fled the bank in an unknown direction of travel.
